Congratulations! Four departments in College of Design have all passed IEET DAC certification. Graduates from those departments are recognized for their degrees by international member countries. Their academic performances are also approved.

Department of Spatial Design and Department of Game & Product Design in the College of Design at Chienkuo Technology University applied for IEET international certification in 2016 academic year. They were announced approval in March 30, 2017 after under field assessment and reviewing.

In addition, the other two departments in College of Design, Department of Commercial Design and Department of Digital Media Design, were certified in 2014 academic year. Hence, with the recent approval of DAC, students who graduate from those four departments in College of Design, their degrees will be recognized by international member countries. The degrees are seen as equivalent ones in member countries which qualify those students to apply for licenses and working in public offices. This benefits students to be geared to international standards, future study and work overseas, especially be recognized when they apply for studying or working abroad.

Institute of Engineering Education Taiwan (IEET) was established in 2003, which is a non-official and non-profit juridical association. IEET is the first professional assessment institute which is recognized by Ministry of Education in our country. It focuses on planning and executing certifications which conform to international standards such as EAC (Engineering Accreditation Commission), CAC (Computing Accreditation Commission), TAC (Technology Accreditation Commission), AAC (Architecture Accreditation Commission) and DAC (Design Accreditation Commission). The purpose of promoting IEET accreditation is to inspect if those certified colleges and universities accomplish their educational goals and core competences, as well as to see if they can implement mechanism for renewal effectively. The four features of IEET are outcome orientation, continuous improvement process, industry-academic cooperation and international integration.

Through certification mechanism, settlement of IEET, maintenance of international recognized core competences and regulation, and with self-regulation under the approval of DAC, College of Design built up an excellent educational brand, Chienkuo Technology University College of Digital Design. Thereby, it can strengthen the confidence of industry, government and the whole society in CTU to cultivate professionals in different realms.
Hereby, we congratulate College of Design greatly, for all the departments have passed DAC certification from IEET. From now on all the graduates from College of Design can be assured by IEET. It is also a significant key to gain international exchange and enhance international visibility.
